Monsters of Marvel in the 2024 Fleer Throwbacks ’59–’63 product is just pure Kirby-era chaos in cardboard form.

When you look at the full 10-card run together, it feels like someone unearthed a lost deck of trading cards straight out of the pre-Fantastic Four, pre-Spider-Man days (back when Marvel was basically just Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, and a stack of absurd monster ideas). These things were the precursors to everything we know about Marvel now. Before Iron Man. Before Wolverine. Before the Avengers. It was all giant, weird, screaming monsters with wild names… and this set captures that perfectly.

And what makes it extra fun? You actually had to hunt for them — they were only 1 in every 13 packs.
Not insanely rare, but rare enough that building the whole checklist feels like an accomplishment.
